| "I began
cutting
stencils in the early eighties to make t-shirts which I would sell to
fund my
record collection. Other surfaces included classmates books and bags,
and the
occasional municipal walkway! After completing a foundation in art
& design,
I studied graphic design at Southampton, and web
design at Dudley college,
after which I went back to what I'd always done and pointed my
spray cans at some canvas, which proved a major success, with my first
piece
selling as it was being mounted on the wall in a local establishment!
My
subjects have included worthy musical icons, commissions ranging from a
pair of
trainers to a camper van, and, having a fascination for the urban
landscape I
now find myself painting images of subways instead of onto them!
Although I
have been cutting stencils for over twenty years now, I still find
inspiration
in street artists of today, like banksy, d*face, and blek le rat to
name a few.
